Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms of use carefully before you use this website. You should also be familiar with our Privacy Policy.

TERMS OF USE Effective date: 6 August 2026 Please read these terms of use carefully. They are an agreement between you and the two parties who together provide this service: - Bethel Church ("Bethel Church"), a registered charity (Charity Number 1165911), whose office is at Spon End, Coventry CV1 3HB; and - Hubb.Church, the platform this service runs on. Hubb.Church is a trading name of Hubb Digital Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in England (Company Number 04072126), whose registered office is at Knapwell Wood Farm Business Park, Cambridge, CB23 4NS, UK. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Bethel Church and Hubb.Church, "the service" means this website and the associated mobile app, and "you" means the person using the service. The technical service and hosting are provided by Hubb.Church; the content, community and activities on this site are the responsibility of Bethel Church. Where these terms say "we", each of us is responsible only for its own role as just described, and neither of us is responsible for the other's obligations. 1. How you accept these terms ----------------------------- You accept these terms: (a) by registering for an account - the registration form tells you this at the point you register; (b) by logging in to the service - the login page tells you this at the point you log in; (c) by clicking "I accept" where the terms are shown to you; or (d) otherwise, by continuing to use the service after having had a reasonable opportunity to read these terms. When you accept these terms by registering, by logging in or by clicking "I accept", we record against your account the date and time of your acceptance, how you accepted, which version of the terms you accepted, and the network (IP) address you accepted from. If we make a material change to these terms, we will show you the updated terms and ask you to accept them again the next time you log in. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when the terms last changed. If you do not accept the updated terms, you may stop using the service and, if you wish, ask Bethel Church to close your account. 2. Your account --------------- Your account may have been created by you, or by Bethel Church on your behalf (for example, because you filled in a paper membership or registration form). If you registered yourself, these terms apply from the moment you register; if the account was created for you, they apply from the first time you log in. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian has read these terms, agrees to you using the service, and accepts these terms on your behalf. Please keep your login details secret and tell Bethel Church promptly if you believe someone else knows them. You are responsible for activity on your account, except activity that happens after you have told us your login details have been compromised, or that results from our failure to keep them secure. Bethel Church may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Unless the breach is serious, we will warn you and give you a chance to put things right first. Suspending or closing your account affects your use of this service only - it does not by itself affect your membership of Bethel Church, which is governed by Bethel Church's own constitution and procedures. If you think a suspension is a mistake, you can ask Bethel Church to review it. You may stop using the service, and ask Bethel Church to close your account, at any time. 3. Acceptable use ----------------- You agree not to: (a) post or send anything unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, discriminatory or deliberately misleading, or anything that infringes another person's rights (including privacy and copyright); (b) use the service to harass, intimidate or harm anyone; (c) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other people's accounts or data, or to probe, overload, scrape or disrupt the service; or (d) use material from the service for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. The views expressed in content posted by users (including in forums, comments and messages) are those of the individual contributors, and not necessarily those of Bethel Church or Hubb.Church. We may remove or edit any user-posted content at our discretion, and we may pass unlawful content, and information about the person who posted it, to the police or other authorities where the law requires or permits. 4. Content you contribute - IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ -------------------------------------------------- This section matters if you submit any content to the service (for example photos, articles, comments, recordings or forum posts), so please read it carefully. You keep ownership of everything you submit. However, so that we can lawfully operate the service, you grant Bethel Church and Hubb.Church a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, copy, reformat, publish and distribute your contribution as part of the service and in Bethel Church's communications and publications about its work (such as service sheets, newsletters, social media and this website). We will not sell your contribution, or use it in paid advertising, without asking you first. This licence: (a) ends for new uses when you delete the contribution or ask Bethel Church to remove it; (b) continues for printed or other physical copies that have already been distributed, which cannot be recalled; (c) allows backup copies to be kept in line with our normal retention schedules, but they will not be re-used for new purposes; (d) covers online archive material (for example a downloadable copy of a past newsletter) - but you can still ask Bethel Church to remove your contribution from archive material published on the service; and (e) may be passed to the service providers we use to run the service (for example hosting providers), but not sold or licensed to anyone else. You agree that we may crop, resize, reformat and make minor edits to your contribution as needed to present it in the service and in Bethel Church's publications. So far as is necessary for the uses described above, and to the extent permitted by the law of your country, you agree not to assert your moral right to be identified as the author of the contribution against us, our service providers, licensees or successors (you are welcome to ask Bethel Church to credit you). By submitting a contribution you confirm that it is your own work (or that you have the permission of the owner), that to the best of your knowledge it is not defamatory and does not break any law, and that, where identifiable people appear in it, they (or their parent or guardian) are content for it to be used as described in this section. Photos and videos of children are only published in line with Bethel Church's safeguarding and photo-consent procedures. 5. Our content and software --------------------------- The service itself - including its software, design, text, graphics and other material we created (or that is licensed to us) - belongs to Hubb.Church, Bethel Church or their licensors, and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the service and its software for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may download and print material from the service for personal use, and you may share brief extracts of publicly-visible articles with other individuals for their personal use, provided you acknowledge this website as the source. You agree not to copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the software, and not to access the service by any means other than the interfaces we provide. Some icons are copyright (c) Yusuke Kamiyamane, all rights reserved, licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence. Hubb.Church uses IP2Location LITE data available from https://lite.ip2location.com. 6. Availability and our responsibility to you ---------------------------------------------- We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available, or that content posted by users is accurate or complete. We are not responsible for: (a) content posted by users, although we will act on genuine complaints about it (see section 3); (b) third-party websites that the service links to, which are outside our control and may have their own terms; or (c) loss or damage caused by events genuinely outside our reasonable control. If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable skill and care, we are responsible for the resulting loss or damage you suffer that was reasonably foreseeable, but we are not responsible for business losses (such as loss of profit or business opportunity) - the service is provided for personal use. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else for which liability cannot be excluded or limited by law. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law of the country where you live gives you as a consumer and does not allow to be given up in a contract - including, for example, your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or Singapore consumer protection law, if those laws apply to you. 7. Privacy ---------- How we collect, store and use your personal data - including data entered on your behalf by Bethel Church - is explained in the Privacy Policy, which you can read on this site. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under data protection law. We will only contact you in accordance with your communication preferences, which you can change at any time through your account settings. If you cannot change or remove personal information yourself, please contact Bethel Church or write to Hubb.Church at the address below. 8. Governing law and disputes ----------------------------- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you use the service as a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country (and, in North America, the state or province) where you live, and you may bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of the country where you live. If we bring proceedings against you as a consumer, we will do so in the courts of the country where you live. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be severed and the rest of the terms will continue to apply. 9.
