At Bethel we run a number of projects that are there to serve and engage with our local communities. Let’s tell you a bit about them!
Oasis Community Hub & Café
As the name suggests this is a place that serves good quality, affordable food for the whole community, but in an environment that can be an Oasis in a busy and chaotic world. The team strive to get to know everyone who comes through the door and alongside serving great food can often be found sitting with customers listening! We don't wish for anyone to live a lonely life, so pop in for a cuppa and a chat.
The Oasis team seeks to share their faith through their actions for those who walk through the doors and when appropriate share their faith through words and conversations. Many lives have been impacted as people not only have enjoyed the physical food and drinks but have also found comfort when someone has shared a bit of spiritual food as well.
The café is located in Spon End, Coventry - why not pop in for a spot of lunch, or just a cuppa!
Opening times at present: Monday to Friday 10:30am - 2:00pm (Term Time Only).
Keep up to date with all that's going on at the café on our Facebook page - www.facebook.com/OasisSponEnd
Incredible Edible Spon End is an edible garden set up by volunteers from Bethel and the surrounding community planted in the grounds of the church.
We are a roadside project who are part of a larger organisation called Incredible Edible. Incredible Edible is run by volunteers all over the country to provide fresh fruit and vegetables for and with the local community.
We meet every Monday 9-10.30am outside church then have a cuppa at Oasis Community Hub & Café in Spon End afterwards and monthly on a Sunday 12.30-2.30pm. All are welcome to give us a hand - we garden and also eat together. If you'd like to join us, please let us know you are coming so that we can cater for you - you can contact us through Facebook - Incredible Edible Spon End - or through the Contact Us form.
Radford Community Allotment
We have an allotment to the north of the city in Radford that is tended to by a number of people from Bethel and anyone is welcome to go and help out!
