Children & Youth on Sundays
We have an entire age specific programme for our children and young people on a Sunday morning all of which aims to point to Jesus. Normally the children begin in the main church with all of the adults and then leave to go to their sessions after around twenty minutes or so, overall we have up to 40 children each week so if you're new there's always lots of opportunities for your children to make new friends. Please take time to check out the different groups below;
This is our youngest age group from age 2 to Reception age children, most of the kids here are happy to be dropped off and get stuck right in with whats going on and with the other children, some however prefer mum or dad to stay which is absolutely fine as long as they're handy with a glue stick! Bubbles is a very interactive group and lots of fun but still with a message as the theme going through it.
Splash is for children in school years Reception to Year 2 (KS1) and is a great group where the kids play lots of games, watch video's, do crafts and interact with a Bible story as well. Our Splash kids really enjoy the variety of the group and always come out with amazing creations to take home!
This is where children from Year 3 to Year 6 (KS2) enjoy their Sunday mornings and is a great mix of learning, games, activities and interactive discussions with the leaders and the wider group. Trailblazers is almost always a lively session with a great group of leaders and children as well!
Our youth can be found in the Lazers group on a Sunday morning designed for youth in Year 7 to Year 10/11. This is a different group from the others and is heavily discussion based, often around topics the youth have questions about as they get older. As they're mostly teenagers the activities are usually more slow paced - after all it is before noon at the weekend!
Our older youth 15 and 16 up, are encouraged to sit in the main church service or to get involved with some of the younger Junior Church groups. Many of them do both, happily serving in the younger age groups some weeks and still connecting with what's going on in the main church as well the rest of the time.
